One of the main reasons a business will install a new Section 125 plan is the tax benefits. It’s important to note that how much a business will save is a function of a lot of different factors including employee pay, attrition, hiring and salary increases among other considerations.
The Tax Savings Calculator assumes a range of savings between $1,000 and $2,500 (per employee in tax savings per year); as this is the typical savings a well designed plan can provide.
The actual realized savings for a company will also be governed by the benefits installed within the plan in addition to the considerations previously mentioned. The intention with this tool is simply to provide a sense of what’s possible given the number of employees you have currently.
